DRAdrianMD on Fatigue
Hi, this is Dr. Adrian, MD. Do you find yourself reaching for a cup of coffee during the workday, just to get through your day? I hear this a lot. The most common complaint I have at my office is fatigue. We all know all about fatigue and how, as we get older, it's more common. Well, treating fatigue requires a comprehensive approach to the patient. I have great success. We see countless patients who will tell you that after seeing me and getting on my program, including diet, supplementation, maybe hormones, maybe medication changes, they have more energy than they had before they see me. Practically every patient that sees me will tell me this. So what to do at home, first of all, starts with diet. If you're eating cooked food or processed food, you're going to be tired. So I encourage you to eat more raw vegetables and fruits then get a power tool such as a blender or a
juicer,
because we don't have time to chew the nutrients we need to do all that we want to do in a day. Many of us have kids, and we have hobbies, but we want energy so we can actually enjoy our family, enjoy our kids, enjoy our hobbies. So you must become knowledgeable in how to care for your body, your machine, to enable you to do all this, including work. So after diet, there are supplements. The most important
ones
upfront
would be some B vitamins or a multivitamin, but not every day.
Super foods
or green powders, such as our greens plus product, nutrients like Co Q10 also improve energy. On our website, we list a whole bunch of different nutrients you can take, and I don't want to go through
these one
by one. So lifestyle is most important. You must eat regular meals during the day, take
time
to eat, take
time
to even exercise and stretch, not overdo caffeine. Medications are also a key factor here. Many patients are taking medications, such as a
cholesterol lowering
medication that is making them tired, making them depressed. You may also be taking a basketful of supplements, thinking all these supplements are good for me. That's not always the case, and often, patients come in taking things that are overloading their liver, too many supplements, making them tired. So if you come see me, I will help you evaluate everything you're putting in your mouth, food, medicines, supplements, hormonal deficiencies and other lifestyle factors that all impact your energy. So I would encourage you to make an appointment, and I will help you have the energy to do your hobbies. For me, to play the piano, for you, to maybe go hunting. So this is Dr. Adrian, MD. Thank you.
