Progesterone is vital for all women even if they do not have a uterus as it increases 'apoptosis' (normal cell death- something cancer cells do not have) in breast tissue. Progesterone is more important in many doctor's opinion even than estrogen and helps make estrogen replacement safer.

Progesterone is one of the two hormones produced by the ovary, the other being estrogen. It is synthesized during the last half of the menstrual cycle after ovulation. It balances the effects of estrogen. Prescription medications such as Provera and birth control pills contain a man-made chemical similar to the progesterone made by the ovary but different. This "difference" is responsible for the many side effects of these "progestogens" such as fluid retention, increased tendency to clot, liver disease, skin rashes, depression, nausea, insomnia, and lowering of endogenous (produced by the body) progesterone levels. Natural progesterone has no significant side effects.

Know the difference between Progestins and Dr Adrian's use of natural progesterone.

Progestins are not the same as natural progesterone. Progestins may cancel the protective effect of estradiol, and promote constriction of the coronary arteries to a significant degree. Natural progesterone, on the other hand, may protect the endometrium, preserve the beneficial effects of estrogen on the cardiovascular system and exert no negative effects on the blood vessels that supply your heart. Progestins may cause birth defects, damage to nerve cells, blood clots, and breast cancer.

He currently is using what he has found to be the most reliable mode of delivery which is a 190 proof ORGANIC pure ethanol solution which is applied to the skin (transdermal). Transdermal medications bypass the liver thereby increasing their potency and reducing the workload on the liver's detox pathways. Note that this gel is an alcohol solution. Most pharmacies that make gels use a denatured toxic smelling alcohol.The ethanol used here is equivalent to grain alcohol. There is no perceptible residue left on the skin.
