Iodine may occasionally cause an allergic reaction in some individuals.

INTERACTIONS
As vitamin K interferes with the effect of anticoagulant drugs (like Coumadin), the concurrent use of these agents should be avoided.

5-methyltetrahydrofolate supplementation is not recommended concurrently with methotrexate cancer therapy, as it can interfere with methotrexate's anti-neoplastic activity; however, this folate source has not been shown to interfere with the anti-inflammatory activity of methotrexate. An individual taking methotrexate for psoriasis or rheumatoid arthritis can safely take a supplement containing folate.

POTENTIAL INTERFERENCE WITH LAB RESULTS

Biotin may interfere with certain laboratory tests and cause inaccurate results, including some thyroid function tests, cardiac and tumor markers, serology tests, and serum allergy IgE tests.

Biotin (Vitamin B7) is commonly found in over-the-counter multivitamins and supplements marketed for hair, skin, and nail support.

Laboratory guidance recommends that individuals taking 5–10 mg of biotin wait a minimum of 8 hours after their last dose before blood collection for laboratory testing. Some laboratory tests may require a longer period.

Inform your healthcare practitioner and laboratory personnel that you are taking a supplement containing biotin before having laboratory testing performed.
